Lateral raise

The machine isolates the middle deltoid: seated, the athlete raises the arms sideways against the pads. The grips pivot and are covered in non-slip rubber so the movement can be matched to the user’s height, and the anatomic seat is set on a gas piston.

The 3 mm reinforced steel frame carries a 50 kg stack of 2.5 kg plates — a fine step suited to a single-joint shoulder exercise — on stainless steel guides with a magnetically retained selector. Transmission pulleys run on ball bearings, the stack is closed by a thermoformed cover and the base stands on adjustable rubber levellers.
