Vasa SpaceSaver Ergometer

The SpaceSaver Ergometer is the swim ergometer reduced to what hangs on the wall: the biokinetic block with its fixings, paddles and handles, and the Power Meter sensor. There is no frame and no bench — the bench is not included — so the machine fits a corridor, a corner of a gym or a wall beside the pool where a full ergometer would not stand.

The athlete pulls against the block in seven resistance settings to work stroke technique, endurance and the strength of the arms and upper body. The electronic system measures time, distance, speed and stroke power in watts, and keeps the statistics of the right and the left hand separately and automatically. It suits a club that needs several training places in a small room, or one station kept permanently rigged for warm-up. Vasa is the manufacturer.
