Monotubular basketball backstop with ground socket
The monotubular backstop is the standard fixed installation for an outdoor court or a school yard. The column is galvanized steel of 150 x 150 x 3 mm section, welded as a single element, with a total projection of 225 cm, and it stands in a socket that is buried in the ground and closed with a lid, so the column can be lifted out when the site is used for something else.
It carries an HPL backboard of 180 x 105 cm and 10 mm thickness on a galvanized frame with a stabilizing bar tied back to the main arm, a fixed varnished steel ring and a nylon net. A two-part version simplifies transport, a heavier 200 x 200 mm column adds manual height adjustment between the basket and mini-basket standards, and a short version rides on a trolley with a ballast box.
