PTS900 precision time electronic whistle system
PTS900 closes the gap between the referee’s whistle and the timekeeper’s hand. Each official wears a belt pack that recognises the sound of his own whistle — a calibration taken before each game builds the reference for that referee — and stops the game clock directly. Four Fox 40 Classic whistles with lanyards are supplied with the set.
The base station runs on Android with an interactive touchscreen that shows belt pack connectivity, battery status and game clock data. Clock events are written to an internal SD card with the belt pack that triggered them, the game clock time, the period, the shot clock time and the interval between actions, and the file is retrievable as a report after the match. The radio link can be set to any of more than 250 channels, which matters in an arena where security, catering and broadcast systems already occupy the spectrum. The whole set travels in one carrying case weighing 2.8 kg.
