Distance marker

The marker is a numbered pyramid set beside the track or the course to show a section: a distance point on a road race, a check mark on a long run, a numbered station in a training session. It stands on its own base and is read from a distance.

Two materials are catalogued, fibreglass and varnished metal. A coloured steel run-up marker with a pin, for marking a check point on the runway, is the third article in the group.
