Starting Block Elite
Elite is a competition block with wide pedals: the pedals are aluminium faced with rubber, and the rail is an aluminium profile. The wider bearing surface spreads the load of the drive over more of the foot, which is what a sprinter with a heavy first step asks for.
The block carries an IAAF certificate. A second article, Elite Wide, is catalogued alongside it.
