Steel javelins
These are the steel-shaft javelins, softer than the carbon models of the same series and correspondingly more forgiving of a release that is not perfect. Flex ratings run from 6.0 to 6.6 and the weights cover 400, 500, 600 and 800 g, so the group serves everything from the youth events to the men’s javelin.
As in the carbon group, the individual models are made for particular conditions: Diana and Champion for a headwind, Xena and Orbit for a tailwind, Airglider, Indra, Eagle, Razer and Rocket as all-round javelins. Most of the articles carry an IAAF certificate; three are catalogued without one.
