Distance measuring wheel

The wheel is used to set out a throwing sector and to check distances where a tape is impractical. The wheel circumference is exactly 1 m at a diameter of 318 mm, so one revolution is one metre, and the counter runs to 10 km. It measures in both directions and has a foot brake.

The counter is mounted at the centre of the wheel for balance and is reset to zero in one movement. A folding handle and a support leg let the wheel stand on its own between measurements, and it is supplied with a transport bag.
