Portable galvanized steel discus cage
A portable discus cage stands on heavy bases weighted down by counterweights, which are supplied, and the poles are tied together by a double row of adjustable crosspieces at high and low level. Nothing is cast into the ground, so the cage can be set up on a field that has no permanent throwing sector and taken down after the competition.
The nets are rot-proof braided polypropylene of 4 mm diameter with a 40 x 40 mm mesh, black, certified to EN 1263-1 and delivered with a test mesh. They hang floating so that a discus striking the net is not returned towards the athlete or over the cage, and nylon rollers raise and lower them. The construction is IAAF compliant.
