Aluminium shot toeboard
The toeboard is the curved stop at the front of the shot put circle that the athlete braces against and must not cross. It takes the full load of the finishing position, so the material decides how long it lasts: this article is aluminium, certified by World Athletics, and it is the choice for a circle in constant use.
Four further articles cover the same function in wood and in moulded polyethylene, including a lacquered pine board that stays less slippery in rain.
