FLEX EVOLUTION shock-absorbing sports floor
FLEX EVOLUTION is a combined wooden floor assembled in layers: a continuous polyethylene vapour barrier over the whole slab, rubber buffers, wooden distributor sections, a multilayer distribution panel and a solid wood sports surface on top. The buffers and the panel act as two separate stages of absorption, so a landing is damped locally while the load is spread across the surface and the geometry of the court stays stable.
The build-up is 61 mm and the boards are joined tongue and groove in beech, hevea or maple. The system is declared to EN 14904 and holds a FIBA certificate, so it serves basketball competition as well as the daily load of a school or municipal hall.
