Vinyl sports flooring series 1000, FIBA/IHF/BWF
Series 1000 is the thickest covering of the vinyl range: a 10 mm build with glass fibre reinforcement over a closed-cell foam backing, 5,3 kg/m2, supplied in rolls 2 m wide and 13 m long. The foam layer absorbs the landing load, which is why this series is laid in halls that hold competitions rather than in corridors or studios.
The covering is compliant with FIBA, IHF and BWF, so one floor serves basketball, handball and badminton in the same multi-sport hall; it is also used in university and school gyms and in aerobics and yoga rooms. The thinner members of the family — series 1100, 1110 and 1120 — keep the same reinforced construction at a lower build height. Colours are blue, green, grey, red, orange and beige, with wood-pattern versions.
