Short track timing system
Short track is skated on a 111.12 m track inside a standard ice hockey rink, by two to eight competitors at speeds reaching 60 km/h, and the tight turns and close finishes are what the equipment is built around. An electronic start gun with StartTime V and a mobile loudspeaker starts the race, a timer with a certified clock takes every race time, and the MYRIA photo finish camera resolves the line.
A transponder system follows the skaters through the race, a GEMINI nine-digit rolling time board and a lap counter keep the arena informed, and an HDV finish video replay system is available to the referee. A PC with participant and competition management software runs the programme. The system is ISU certified.
