Ice hockey timing and scoring system

The Saturn main controller runs period time, penalties and the score, and keeps every display in the arena on the same clock: a Saturn scoreboard, a video LED display or a media cube above centre ice, the clocks in the dressing rooms, the horn, and the goal lamps behind each net.

Penalty handling is what distinguishes a hockey installation — several running penalties per side, each ending on its own. What an arena needs beyond the controller depends on its size and on the level of hockey it hosts. The set is IIHF approved.
