OMEGA OIT5 pushbutton
The pushbutton is the manual backup to the touchpad. A timekeeper at the finish end presses it as the swimmer touches, and the impulse goes into the lane harness alongside the touchpad signal; up to three buttons per lane can be connected, and the timing software compares them when the pad reading has to be checked.
It has a 3 m coiled cable and a normally open contact on banana plugs, and plugs into the harness module or the lane deck plate.
