MosTrac set with StartTime V electronic start device, 10 lanes

MosTrac monitors the start over a radio link rather than over cable. A clip is fixed once to each athlete’s starting block and the motion sensor mounts on it and comes off without tools; the sensor reports movement to the StartTime V console, which also generates the start sound and the start impulse. Because the sensor rides on the block, it works with the blocks a stadium already owns.

The console screen shows the radio link and battery level of every sensor and the reaction time measured on each lane, and sends those reaction times to the photofinish over RS422. Up to ten sensors and three E-Gun recallers work together, so a start can be called back from more than one position. For starts at 200 m and 400 m, additional loudspeakers and longer cables are ordered separately; the radio frequency depends on the region and is fixed when the set is ordered.
