Skate holder H5

H5 clamps a hockey skate on the sharpening machine and holds the blade square to the wheel while the pass is made. At 0.7 kg it is the lighter of the two holders, which tells when the operator lifts and reseats a holder several dozen times in a shift, and it is the holder supplied in the SSM-2/H5 configuration of the machine, for blades of 1.5 to 4 mm.

It grips the area between the boot and the blade, so skates that leave too little room there cannot be held in it; for those, and for a mixed rental stock, the universal H8 holder is used instead.
