Finishing lines for Open Water
The finishing lines mark out the final fifty metres of an open water course, the section in which the swimmers are separated for the finish. Each line is built like a racing lane line — polyethylene discs and floats of Ø 100 mm on a 4 mm stainless steel wire — and carries a snap hook at each end.
The pair is supplied with one red and one yellow line; white, green, blue, black and orange are also made. The colour carries at least 8000 ppm of UV stabiliser and antioxidant, with colour fastness of 8, which is what an open water course in daylight demands.
