Ball release
The ball release holds the ball on the half-distance line before the start of a period. When the operator pulls the rope from the side of the pool, the release is submerged and the ball is set free at the same instant for both teams, which removes the hand throw from the start of play.
It is built of EVA foam, high density plastic and stainless steel, takes both the men’s and the women’s ball, and is anchored to two eyebolts in the pool bottom.
