Advanced Movable Floor
A movable floor turns one basin into several: raised to the surface it serves a learners’ class or a rehabilitation group, set deeper it is a swimming lesson, lowered to the bottom it is a competition pool or a water polo field. The structure is built from beams in stainless acid-proof steel and covered with boards of PVC vinyl ester 117 mm wide and 22 mm thick, laid with 8 mm gaps so the water flows through the floor rather than around it. The boards are slip resistant, Class C, 24°. White is the standard colour; dark blue or black boards are used to mark the swimming lanes.
Each screw jack in the drive has its own motor, and the software sets a slope of 0 to 3 percent. The system needs no special gutter and goes into new and existing pools alike, tiled or stainless steel. The control system has a remote connection that reports operating data: running time, the number of starts and stops, travel distances.
