False start balls line

The false start line is dropped across the pool when the starter recalls a race. The balls are plastic and the cord is polyester; the red and white colouring makes the line visible to a swimmer in the water.

The line is made to the width of the pool and is hung on the posts at each side, held by the false start device until it is released.
