Traditional landing mat for rings, beam and bars, FIG
This is the basic unit of a competition landing area for rings, beam, asymmetric bars, parallel bars and high bar. The core is multi-layer foam 20 cm thick, which spreads the load of a landing and keeps its shape under repeated use. The cover is removable, 1,000 denier phthalate-free PVC with a leather-look finish and a class M2 fire rating, in beige and red.
Mats are laid side by side to make up the area the FIG apparatus layout requires. A hook-and-loop bib on the top surface links one mat to the next so that no gap opens between them; depending on the article the bib runs across the width, down the length or along the side, and AVGY1121 is supplied without one. Carrying handles are fitted so the area can be built and cleared between rotations.
