Installation tray for take-off board
The tray is cast into the concrete of the runway when the sector is built and is the fixed part of the take-off installation: the board, the blanking lid and the foul board all drop into it. It is made from 5 mm aluminium, which is what keeps it rigid while the concrete is poured around it.
Trays are made in the widths of the boards they receive — 30 cm for the competition board, 32 cm for the reversible board, and 123 x 22 x 10 cm for the school board. A galvanised steel box is the equivalent for the AVSS take-off boards.
