Pole vault rails with slider carts

The rail is what lets the uprights be displaced during a competition. The base is heavy grade steel with levelling screws for uneven ground; inside it a rolling base runs on 8 ball-bearing wheels with 4 lateral wheels holding the alignment, and two adjustable tie rods keep the upright vertical under load.

Position is read from a metric indicator with a locking system, so the judge repeats the setting exactly. The extended 2000 mm rail suits Club, Meeting and Reversible landing systems and lets the uprights be folded into an integral shed; the embedded versions sit in an aluminium frame box with a lid for indoor and multi-sport floors.
